I have been trying to find a perfume that comes close to the scent of what I’ve always called mimosa, but is really the flower of a related tree called the Persian silk tree. I had a designer fragrance called Silk Touch by Max Mara which was discontinued years ago. It came close. The designer Kenzo offered a fragrance called Eau de Fleur de Soie, now also discontinud. Never having tried the Kenzo scent, I thought this Yves de Sistelles version of the same name might be a dupe for the Kenzo fragrance, but I don’t think it is, and at this price point I suppose I shouldn’t expect it to duplicate such a somewhat complex scent. It is a soft, somewhat sweet floral scent, and it lasts surprisingly well. It’s a nice scent for daily wear with a somewhat powdery dry down.
